This policy covers the current Mandarin Loop app, its support email, and this public website. For privacy questions or deletion requests, contact the app owner at xinaoword@gmail.com.

Information stored by the app

Mandarin Loop stores wordbooks, imported words, study plans, learning progress, practice results, preferences, the first-use date, and the free-word allowance on your device. These records provide the learning experience and determine complimentary access and the ongoing free plan.

The current app does not require a developer account or send your learning library to a developer-run backend. In-app iCloud synchronization is not available in this version.

Files you import

The app reads the CSV, TSV, or text files you choose through the system file picker. Imported words become part of your local library. If you choose a file from a cloud file provider, that provider handles access to the original file under its own settings and policies.

Pronunciation

Chinese pronunciation uses Apple’s system speech service. Mandarin Loop does not record your voice, request microphone access, or send voice recordings to a developer server.

Apple purchases and access

Subscriptions use Apple’s StoreKit. Apple processes payments and provides product information, introductory-offer eligibility, and verified subscription transaction and entitlement information to the app. The app uses this information to show purchase terms and determine access. We do not receive payment card details.

Apple’s purchase and service processing is covered by Apple’s privacy information. The separate 7-day complimentary app-access period is calculated from a locally stored first-use date.

Advertising and tracking

The current app includes no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. Mandarin Loop does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Retention, backups, and your controls

Local learning data remains on your device until you change or remove it. Settings lets you manage wordbooks and clear learning records. Clearing learning records resets study progress and practice results, but keeps wordbook contents and the free-word allowance; it is not a complete deletion of all app data.

Deleting the app removes its local app data. Your device’s backups may include app data according to your Apple Account and system settings. Removing the app does not automatically remove separately held backups or Apple purchase records, and does not cancel a subscription. Manage backups and subscriptions through Apple’s controls.

Support email

If you email support, we receive your email address and any message, screenshot, or attachment you choose to send. The app owner handles these messages only to respond to support requests, not for marketing.

We keep support correspondence while handling your request and for up to 90 days after it is resolved. You may ask for earlier deletion by emailing xinaoword@gmail.com. This retention statement applies to the support mailbox records we control. Email delivery providers, including Gmail, process messages under their own service and privacy terms; their independent security records or backups are not controlled by the app.

Support is optional. Do not send passwords, verification codes, payment card details, or unnecessary personal information. Google’s privacy policy explains Google’s service processing.

This website and its hosting

These static pages contain no advertising, analytics scripts, tracking pixels, cookie-setting code, embedded third-party content, or external fonts. There are no account or contact forms; the contact link opens your email application.

The site is served through Cloudflare. To deliver and protect requests, Cloudflare may process IP addresses, request URLs, timestamps, browser or device information, and other access or security metadata. Hosting infrastructure can retain operational or security records; the absence of website analytics does not mean there are no hosting logs.

Cloudflare’s processing and retention depend on its services and the hosting configuration. This website’s support-email retention period does not describe Cloudflare’s independent records.
